Today was the first day of Milan Fashion Week, and it was the show of the much- anticipated Fall/ Winter 2015 collection of Gucci under the new direction of designer Alessandro Michele. Androgynous models walked down the runway in his masculine- feminine translations of poetic romance.
Geometrics on this coat paired with a red striped beanie– this collection had very unexpected pairings. Very individualistic and modern with nostalgic undertones. 70s, perhaps?
Lace is definitely romantic.
Sheer Nostalgia.
THAT embroidered jumper over lace !!!!
Pleats on flowy printed dresses please!
That coat cinched with the Gucci monogram fannypack 😉 It has been awhile since I last saw a monogram bag make it on the runway.
Is the fanny pack is back?
After a closer inspection, my favorite piece would really have to be this jumper because it incorporated very detailed embroidery. This for me is a piece that highlights the romanticism that was deeply woven into this collection by Alessandro Michele.
And Alessandro takes a bow, his first for Gucci’s womenswear collection. Unapologetically nostalgic and romantic. A new era that is Gucci!
Congratulations Alessandro! 🙂
