Marc Jacobs F/W 2008

Hope you hags had a fantastic weekend! Meanwhile I was up wayyy early in the morning yesterday to attend a friend’s twinnies’ baptism– guess who played fairy bagmother 😉 What a fun party it was afterwards, there were just tons of people who went and there was junk food everywhere (ok my diet has officially left the building) 😀

Anyway, I wanted to break the news for this one, but I am, I’m afraid, a bit late already. But bah, better late than never! Marc Jacobs showed his collection a few days ago, and there were some noteworthy observations… For one, Marc looks hot, hot, hot! I know it ain’t fair to be comparing him to the devilishly handsome David Copperfield (back in the 90s haha), but he’s got that devilishly good looks now, sans those glasses (which I liked also, but hey, the look now? Winner!)

I’m liking this bag– this neon green hobo!! *woowoo neon green!!* It’s such an eye popper that the bag will do soooo much justice to a blah outfit (perfect for me because I obviously lack style). I want this baby!

Here’s another interesting piece. The bag looks like a Jeanne GM (Goyard), but with a cutout handle and a “chain” clasp detail like that of a Lanvin. Very interesting although I’m not going to buy it. But interesting, it’s something new.

Here’s one of the other more important bags on the runway was this beautiful ostrich top handle bag with the gathered pleats fastened together on one end with a metallic “fan” detail. (Oh and I’m loving the cuff!)

I did zero- in on this bag when I saw it because it was very unique. I wasn’t hot on olive (although it was already striking because it was also on ostrich) but I was loving it in that other color. It had all the elements of a great bag– the rolled leather handles (easy on the hands), unique detail, zipped top, and a shoulder strap!

Then I get a wakeup message from my old blogpal BB (skinny as ever!). Marc Jacobs, as in THE man, has named that very bag after BryanBoy!! This bag is named “BB“! I was sooo totally in awe. IN AWE!! *Serious jawdrop!!* I am sooo happy for you B! Dannnng!!! It’s really something else if THE man himself names a bag after you! *woooohooooo!!!! Time for the bubbly! 😀 (I’m too cheap to buy my own, so if you have some bubbly, call me hehehe I’m there where the booze is hahahaha)*

Congratulations B! And I really hope I get to see that BB bag in the flesh (on you!!!) soon 🙂 🙂 Meanwhile I’m excited to see the rest of the bag collection of Marc *feeling close hahaha* on the Greenbelt 4 bag shelves soon!
