LV unveiling Pomme D’Amour + LV limited eds + Imelda Collection and Jul Dizon

You know you’re a shallow baghag when… you jump up and down at the sight of an invitation from Louis Vuitton to another private affair. Ok, so it’s no secret I did just that when I received this invitation– and it’s definitely no secret that I am shallow, period. But just as I landed from that joyful jump did it sink in that I was not in a financially sound position to be giddy at the possibility of bringing home a new bag from Vuitton *bawl* But bah, no matter. Can’t be a sourpuss just ‘coz I am trying *gulp VERY HARD* to restrain myself from getting another bag this February. *I’m sorry but it’s just financially not possible unless I begin peddling off my own bags– none of which I can really part with at the moment!* The purchase of two bags last January was already painful as it is!

Anyway, enough of my sob story– it’s getting old haha. LV will be launching the Pomme D’Amour color, if I’m not mistaken (I think it’s already out actually). Pomme D’Amour= apple of love 😀 *someone kick me for wanting to translate everything in French literally! Pfft as if I know French* Teehee how perfect is that new color for Valentine’s day? I also heard that LV is launching new colors for the Monogram Mini Lin line. Something in baby pink and baby blue. *I hope that was accurate! That being said, troop over to the House of Monogram!* It would really be exciting to see what’s in store for the Vuitton bag addicts 🙂

Oh, and on another note, here’s something that my fellow boardies had to share– from the House of Louis Vuitton as well. All new LV bag photos courtesy of nitrolicious.com

I like this polka dot Panama bag. It has those gold logo rond stamps all over and a nice belt buckle to secure le sac. I can imagine this as a travel bag– structured enough but compact for storing in the luggage. I won’t be buying it myself though, because it looks like it’s made of some cream fabric. We all know that no amount of Scotchgard can protect a bag as beautiful as this one 🙁 *sob*

OhMahGawd. This is one of those love-it-hate-it bags. The LV patchwork bag is so unique– I betcha you can’t find your neighbor carrying this bag everyday *snicker*. It fuses 15 different bags into one. Each side of the bag is different. I am a fan of curiously odd bags and more “couture” ones *what a terrible snoot I am haha*, but to be honest with you, I don’t know if I’ll ever carry this bag out. (Nor do I think can I ever afford this bag– hello, suhali! Plus the opposite side has alligator skin and fur!) I wouldn’t mind framing this bag and hanging it on my wall though *hehehe wouldn’t you?* (But then again, the price is wrong for sure haha) And oh yeah, can you identify all the bags in that one bag? 🙂 TRY IT!! 🙂

Monogram Denim Patchwork Speedy. Now this is something I can relate to. I too, honestly like the “chaos” of this denim Speedy. I know, my bag taste is rather strange lately. Again, this is another one of those love-it-hate-it bags, and strangely, I am liking this! This is another limited edition piece! * Mrs.T calls LV to get “listed” haha* (Psst, peeps, have you thought about collecting only LV pandora bags? Teehee… coz I have been giving that some thought, although the thought of actually starting that collection, is a deadly one! So I’ll defer haha)

I’m not even posting the Chinatown bag (aka Cuir Tresse tote). Gee, I should take a photo of my non- branded Cuir Tresse tote, compliments of Manila Chinatown 🙂 *Guffaw, bad bad*

Men’s printed keepall bag. Shouldn’t this be women’s? *Psst, JP, are you liking this?* I don’t think my DH would wanna be caught carrying this on the plane 🙂 I however, would not mind! *hint hint* Ooh that tie is lovely 😀

LV’s Love tote. Very simple tote, no embellishments except for the L-O-V-E print. And it would probably cost more than a monogram Speedy! The shoes opposite that tote– I actually like the print (not the style). There is actually a pair of ballet flats (oh but they’re not really flats since there’s that odd heel which I really like) in this same collection that I won’t mind owning. I wonder how much those shoes are…

Yeah well, that was some serious eye candy. I hope to see at least one of those bags on the boutique shelf, although the chances of that happening are quite unlikely, but hey, let’s not push our luck. Who knows, right? 🙂 (Photo Credits: New LV bag photos all from nitrolicious.com)

On a jewelry note, I’d like to invite all our baghags to come to the IMELDA COLLECTION tea party where NEW accessories as well as Fine Jewelry from the Imelda Collection will be launched. The three day event starts today, February 1 til February 3 *THREE fun-filled days woohoo*. The collection will be presented at the Bar Lounge of PACIFIC PLAZA on Ayala Avenue *this is the Pink building across Rustans* from 2pm to 6pm. (Baghags, there is no obligation to buy, but if you like something, why not 😀 Chances are, you will– hello, remember the Lacroix cross that my SIL bagged? And there are also some stashed Lacroix/Chanel earrings that are weaved into the accessories, so do check it out! *Give me a holler at (0916)758-0857 if you are going* Cash and credit card accepted).

JUL B. DIZON Jewellery Salon is also having its big, big sale on February 2 and 3, at their shops at Manila Peninsula Hotel and Edsa Shangrila Hotel. This is a must-go event because their stocks won’t last on the glass cases for long!

If you plan to head to Makati, drop by at Jul Dizon first before heading to Pacific Plaza for the Imelda Collection (or do it the other way around :D). Both events are Not to be Missed!! Teehee, then go to Greenbelt 4 to cap the afternoon with a nice bag *tsk tsk tsk… watch out financial crisis, here we all come!!!* 😀

Have a wonderful day ahead 🙂 *I slept early and woke up at 5am haha*

THIRTEEN DAYS BEFORE VALENTINE’S DAY! (Boys, have you gotten your loved one a gift yet? If not, take a hint from THIS post! Hello, bags or jewelry! Choose your weapon! *Snicker*)

  3. yes MrsT, im actually LOVING it! my SA showed me that Floral Keepall the other day and i just couldn’t get over it. im really digging the Hawaii 5-0 print. but i had to restrain myself because im eyeing a MUCH better bag to come. i guess my watch collection will have to take a back seat – again…. to think i consider the Multicolour Fringes an abomination, i actually like the Denim Patchwork Speedy. i also really like the Cuir Tresse EastWest bags. i totally get the irony of a “Divi” bag gone ULTRA luxe – they even gilded it. you should reconsider…. i’ve also been drooling over the Men’s Fall ’07 collection…. 2007 looks set to be a very expensive year for me *GULP* may the Lord have mercy on my bank account.

  4. JP: Hahahahah Amen and may the Lord have mercy on mine! Mine’s been bleeding internally and it’s beginning to show. I’m actually already so low on cash that I’d rather skip a meal than pay 50 bucks for a decent burger at Jollibee *muwahahaha*. As far as that gold Chinatown bag is concerned, I just can’t reconsider. I know some baghags love it, but I see my own Chinatown bag (filled with toys haha) everyday and I can’t help but think… LV and that? NAH. the patchwork speedy looks quite nice eh? Methinks meget one, but not with my financial bloodbath. Tsk.

Isabella: fugly is a good word to use haha, but put it this way, if you hang that bag on the wall or on the ceiling…. *guffaw some more*

gigi: oh dear, I don’t remember anymore. 60k or 80k.. oh wait, 80k+ is the vernis houston… so i reckon its about 60K++. cheapest to buy LV in Paris 🙂
