Louis Vuitton at eluxury.com

I’ve been having crappy internet connections in the last few hours, so I hope this post gets saved before another glitch in our connection happens. *sigh*

For those who’ve already watched Benjamin Button, thank you for letting me know exactly what part Mahershala played. I really look forward to watching it. The movie is definitely something very positive and good for his career– he really is living his dream!! More projects for him, I hope! 🙂

Some years ago, I remembered thinking out loud whether Louis Vuitton would ever produce more candy colored bags for the epi leather line. I was pacified *yes coz I think I kept wondering about new colors out loud… yes, it was annoying* when I saw the grenade– a magenta/ purple color which was last year’s most coveted color on the epi alma (btw, I still lust for this bag but I simply can’t afford one then, nor can I afford one right now). And this year, Vuitton decides to color its vernis line with brights once more.

Just looking at this photo lightens me up. I’m not exactly in a chipper mood today *it’s the hormones, I tell ya”, but staring at this photo long enough makes me break into a smile 🙂 I’m liking the green tonic, the blue galactic, and the orange sunset (I know, I am surprised I didn’t pick the purple too). But eeks, the price tag of US$2,080 for each of these bags is enough to send me into a dizzying financial spiral, so I’ll just have to admire this bag from afar 🙂 Available now at LV Greenbelt 5 and at eluxury.com

And then there’s the Louis Vuitton Galliera Riviera, a limited edition “hobo-esque” bag with an illustration of the French Riviera on high quality cotton canvas. While I love looking at this bag, I also am constantly reminded of the older limited edition Prada illustration bags made sometime in 2001/2002. So what I’m trying to say is, this “illustration” concept is not something new. Given the choice, I’d rather go for a classic monogram Galliera over this one. Priced at US$ 1,940 at eluxury.com

And then there are the Stephen Sprouse LV bags already out this week… Wheee… So many brights to look forward to. I wish we can say the same about our economic landscape!

  1. yup i heard elux will just be a magazine and will no longer sell merchandise. (all merchandise?) this is because most brands have their own online shopping sites already. Oh well. I can still get some fendi at blufly (those are authentic right?) and other brands at net-a-porter. For LV I guess they need to be taxed. Haha.
