Hermes Birkins… Lust lust lust

If you had to dream of owning an expensive bag, dream big. Yes, dream of the Hermes birkin– the grandmamma of all expensive bags. Where else can you find a US$148,000 diamond encrusted bag? 🙂 Only at Hermes!

The lustful journey for this elusive bag begins! 😀

Let me veer off from the traditional colors and leathers and go with these two choices–

Silver metallic birkin.Yes, this color was produced! I couldn’t believe it myself, but this is a real Hermes birkin in silver! I believe the leather is box. (Hehe I wouldn’t buy this though :D)

Distressed leather birkin. The leather is not exactly distressed. It just has metallic tones to make the leather more “distressed”, but I believe this birkin is made of togo leather (notice the veins). The unusual leather color treatment makes this birkin a very unique one.

Oh wait, here’s another one of those unique leathers of Hermes called Dalmatian 🙂

Here’s a bi-colored version, which is not really your average kind of birkin but is “regular” enough 🙂

Brown and orange birkin. The idea of having two colors on a birkin made me iffy about how it would look, but this color combination– brown and orange (by chance the signature colors of Hermes), is really gorgeous. I’ve seen the combination on box leather, but not on textured clemence. It’s so pretty! If I were to get a neutral colored birkin, I think this is the one I’d choose.

Now for the single colored birkins, here are my favorites.

Fuchsia chevre birkin. I love chevre leather– chevre by the way, is goat leather (like suhali of LV). It has a nice semi-exotic grain that runs through the middle of the bag. It is so much lighter as well compared to clemence and togo. And this color, fuchsia, is the best. Yes I had a fuchsia kelly once, but I sold that bag (and to date, regret having done so– that has been the biggest mistake I’ve ever done! *Sniff*). And how I wish I can actually find a 35cm birkin in fuchsia chevre. *sigh*

Beige rose birkin. This birkin is beige but has that rose undertone. It would have been more gorgeous if this bag were done in crocodile skin *simply breathtaking*. Nevertheless, this is a pretty rare color. It hardly comes by even in Kelly bags.

Etoupe dove gray shoulder birkin. While I would have reservations about a 35cm birkin in gray leather since I’m not really into “neutral” colors that much, I don’t mind owning it in this birkin style. I think this color works really well with the now discontinued shoulder birkin. Looks real nice, doesn’t it?
