FOOD BLOG! Dinner at Sala

Ok, social call. I was with three friends for dinner a few days ago at Sala Makati. Thank the food gods that Sala was the restaurant of choice because since they opened in Makati, I hadn’t gotten the chance to try the food yet– and I’ve been meaning to do it, but the thought just always slips my mind.

I ordered the beef carpaccio for starters. It was very good– especially good if you add a pinch (literally a pinch) of the rock salt and freshly ground pepper from the small spices saucer. And oh yeah, gotta looove the olives!!

For our main course, April ordered the seared ahi tuna which was really excellent. And it really looked like beef at first. But I will definitely go back to have this dish.

Daph ordered the aubergine and she said it was quite nice too. Too bad no photo 🙁

I had the super duper gooooood duck breast. I swear, it was SOOOOO good!!! The meat was really tender and juicy, and the sauce was very rich.

For dessert, PJ ordered the panna cotta, which again, was excellent. It had a very fine texture and a nicely balanced creamy sweetness. April ordered ice cream with fresh strawberries. I had the rice pudding, and Daph had the best dessert– she tried a bit of everything 🙂

Anyway, what a fancy dinner we had, special thanks to Daphne! I highly recommend this restaurant. I’ll post the reservation info here as soon as I get it.

More socialclimbing baghag affairs tomorrow 🙂 *Olay Total Effects Event!*

  1. wow..such is good life.

i just read in the papers about a girl who committed suicide cause she was too poor. did not have few cents to buy some school related items.

this is truly a very sad thing, why dont you and your well connected friends get together and raise up some funds to help those poor kids who wants to study but they just have no means.
