I am really saddened. And appalled. I can’t help it. Here I am trying very hard to educate (or at least I hope I am educating) hags on designer bags– that if it were a choice between a non-designer bag and a designer COPY, you should choose the non-designer. There are after all, MANY non designer- branded bags that are just as nice and even more original in design. I mean, I can name a few local designers who make good bags, right off the top of my head.
I just capped off two bag stories– one about counterfeit designer bags for a local fashion magazine. I was elated, glad that I was done writing the piece. So I went to Greenhills this afternoon to meet up with 2 peeps, (and in the process, running into my old friends KG and CS), and to hang out with my DM for the rest of the afternoon. I love GH for the native goodies… fooooooooood!!!! (As if my macaroons from HT was not yet enough *muwahaha, HT I gained weight already!!!*)
Anyway so DM and I ended up walking around, getting these native goodies 
for our friends overseas. *ooh ooh ooh I just found out that I’m officially flying out to the US in mid September!! Woohooo! I am DM’s official chauffeur and I’m gonna be at her beck and call, and heck I most certainly don’t mind! I looooove my DM :D* No, it’s not a shopping trip, really (although oh dear HOW I WISH!!).
UGH wait, let me continue on (I’m straying again from the topic!). So we ended up walking around and passing by all these stalls selling fake designer bags. Nothing new there for me. Then THESE caught my eye. 
FAKE GOYARDS!!! 
I am SO appalled!!! How is this possible?!?! Partly I was silently thinking, “Goyard has indeed arrived.” But then I am just way too disgusted with this. I mean, they are selling these fake Goyards for Php 10,000!!! (US$ 200!!!). GEEZ! For that amount, you can get a designer handbag too! I got my authentic Prada clutch for under that amount! And these fakes are going for THAT rate?!!
There was another stall that sold the St.Louis totes for Php 6,000 (US$120). No matter, they’re SO expensive, and they’re SO FAKE! And to think I just sorta celebrated the fact that law enforcement authorities and the brands’ legal departments are finally doing something to stop the proliferation of the counterfeit designer bags… And now this?!
I’m so disappointed. 🙁
Anyway I am really dead tired today. Had a super loong day (had to take the kids to a school super event early in the morning!!!)
Here’s something to say g’night too. Anthropologie (my fave store) has sent out this mailer.
*Sigh* I’m sure that top leather bag costs a LOT cheaper than the fake Goyard! 🙁 *so depressing*
I promise a better bag entry tomorrow. Right now, I just want to crawl to bed and SLEEP!!

Oh Yes….I’ve seen all these FAKE GOYARDS! actually I have encountered just now, I just met a guy, No i don’t know him personally but i heard him giving 2 St Louis bags to her friends, since he just came back from HK. So, when i saw him giving those goyards, for me it looks fake! Then he saw me with my fidji, he said, wow! we have the same bag! well i just said….yeah, but mine is the fidji style, & yours is the St Louis. then he answered back, I DONT KNOW! so, that made me think it’s really FAKE, coz of course if you really bought it in Goyard store, he should know what he’s buying, right? he even mentioned that he bought it at Harvey Nicks in HK, I don’t think so…heheheh!

OH MY GOSH!!!!!! I am so disappointed that Greenhills sells fake Goyards!!! I just bought another Goyard from the SF store and it just breaks my heart that they have fake Goyards in the PI now!! What a sad day for Goyard! =(

Oh yeah.. I first saw those fake Goyards early this year in China but they really looked fake at thhat time, i mean, they were speedy shapes etc… then when i went last month, i saw these st.Louis totes in all colors…. i didnt have time to check it out, though. I wonder if it looks handpainted? or just printed? and the material?
yeah, was in gh tyangge the other day saw them selling coach bags at 10k the nerve!!!! fake fake fake.. u were right non designer bags are even better than designer imitations. fake! fake! fake!
This reflects the kind of society we have today. Everything is superficial, everything fake! Fake bags, fake noses, fake peso appreciation! Its so sad. Is the word “class” going to be deleted in the dictionary soon? 🙂
