Earthquakes and Tsunamis…

This year, there was Haiti. And today, there’s Chile, and then southern Japan! I just want to keep this post short today as I am really fearful for the lives of the many people affected by the magnitude 8.8 earthquake that hit Chile. I pray and urge everyone to pray that the tsunami forecast is wrong and that no cities will be hit 🙁

Today’s a sad day and one can only continue to hope and pray that there is a better tomorrow for us all and for our world. We should really pay attention to what Mother Earth is saying, what with all these catastrophes coming one after the other … *Sigh* Events like these really make you rethink your life. Imagine having worked so hard to get to where you are, to be able to buy the necessities as well as indulge in luxuries in life, only to have all that taken away from you in a matter of seconds.  An event like this really puts things into perspective… *Big sigh*
Anyway, I hope you all have a peaceful and uneventful Sunday. Regular blogging back on Monday. As for me, I shall remain glued to my telly for the latest news about Chile and these tsunami warnings…
I am praying for the best and am remaining positive that the worst case scenario will not happen…

  1. amen to that… i was shocked when i heard the news, it seems we were just reeling from haiti and now this. so close! it truly seems that our days left on earth are numbered. Jesus did say that there would be earthquakes (among various other signs as stated in the Bible) before He comes. i really hope that when that time comes, i won’t be caught unprepared. P.S. this may sound out of place in a bag blog, but if you ever have the chance to see and buy the book ‘epicenter’ by joel rosenberg, please do! it’s an analysis of current middle east events vis-a-vis Biblical prophesy regarding the coming of the end times. very eye-opening and engaging book. you will realize that the Bible prophesies are reading just like today’s headlines!
