British Bags…

I went to the doctor today– finally (after 3 weeks of complaining about my throat problem). Ok, I admit. I am a coward. So anyway, after DH continued to prod me to visit the ENT specialist, I finally succumbed. Turns out I have acid reflux again. That’s because I started this spicy food binge 3 weeks ago. So I guess this is payback. My throat does not like spicy food

(although mark my words, I will NOT give up spicy food muwahahaha).

I’m temporarily saying goodbye to spicy food though, until my throat improves. I’m just glad I don’t have “nodules”. That would’ve entailed surgery, and this baghag wannabe would NOT want surgery (unless it’s to enhance my *cough* beauty one day *muwahahaha NOT).

Anyway, I’m off to more pleasant things, so let me not waste your time with my sob story about my throat (because it could get gross haha). I want to post about these 2 real cute canvas bags that are of course, in keeping with the old “I am not a Plastic Bag” theme of British designer Anya Hindmarch.

And there’s the Anya Hindmarch Gym Kit bag.
The Gym Kit bag has Anya’s signature ribbon logo worked into the jump rope design. Both are priced at £65 each at net-a-porter.com,  but I love the Homework bag more. Because of the colors.
Which brings me to this– I am loving Canvas bags. Light bags. Of late, all I have been carrying are my Cath Kidston totes (coated canvas!)

(thanks to Daph for the introduction too, and to Claire for the cute mini Cath Kidston tote)!
Tsk tsk, wait a minute, do I see a pattern here? Ok, I like surf shopping at Net-a-porter, I like those Anya Hindmarch totes, and I love Cath Kidston. And I am currently craving for good Fish and Chips. Am I turning into a wannabe Briton? 😉 *hehehehe… I love the Queen, I enjoy listening to Leona Lewis sing, am still wishing I could see the Spice Girls in concert *ok that’s kinduvan embarrassing confession*, enjoy a lovely cup of tea over coffee, and I’m a die-hard Mr. Bean fan (hahahahaha and so are my kids), was lusting for this Union Jack bureau at Firma (which has since sold *sob*),

the Union Jack skull clutch by Alexander Mc Queen (waaaah, also Brit!)
and wouldn’t have minded owning the Chanel Union Jack flap bag.
oh, and lest I forget to mention this again– I love fish and chips!* Waaaaahhhh I’m a Chinoy Briiiiiit!!!  *muwahahaha*

  1. If that’s the case, I am a Pinay Brit Mrs T. Hahaha!

Hope you get well soon. I know how it is to suffer from acid reflux, though I haven’t gone to the route of almost losing my voice like you do. Hugs!

  2. @browneyedgirl: LOL yes, siopao with fish and chips. Sounds fab!!! 🙂

@ Mitzi: Cath Kidston is available in London and also in Hong Kong in some stores (though not authorized but they’re authentic :D).

@ anon: Nooo i havent seen havaianas bags. I will do research on that.

@ Leah: LOL Pinay Brit is gooood 🙂 Yeah take care of your reflux. It could get bad if left untreated. I’m the prime example!
