Breakfast not at Tiffany’s and Early Chinese New Year Wishes for all!

Wheeeee…. So! I had a wonderful breakfast meeting with someone whom we’re about to do business with (more on that revelation soon :D) Anyway, YES, you read that first sentence right. I had breakfast. Breakfast= first meal of the day, usually taken early in the morning. This only means one thing =I woke up especially early to attend a meeting. (pssst BT, IM, RR: if you peeps think I couldn’t do it, eat your heart out, ‘coz I DID IT!!! Woohoo)

Thoughts of garlic rice, sunny side up eggs, muesli, and bacon entered my mind as I was dressing up. Was this the day that I finally give that stupid all- meat diet a rest and succumb to a serious sugar rush that is garlic- flavored? Believe me, the original intent of my meeting had nothing to do with food, but that was all I thought of on my way to the Pen Lobby. After all, no one ever told this baghag that an all- meat diet can result in some serious constipation (pout pffffft!!!) *Muwahahaha… uhh info overshare :D*

I honestly thought that maybe a cup of that rice and perhaps some muesli will be enough of a wake up call to my poop fairy (who seems to have gone dormant and inattentive on me and my *ahem bodily needs* for the last day or so *muwahahahahahahaha* ok this is getting kinda gross… tsk tsk I am so uncouth. Talking about bowel movements especially when the subject of what I ordered for breakfast is about to be broached immediately after *muwahaha pardon my insanity, that’s what happens when you’re too stressed and you don’t have enough sugar in your blood tsk tsk*). But apparently, the poop fairy ain’t showing up just yet (damnit better not! I was already out of the house! Hahaha)

However, my conscience (yes, apparently I DO have a conscience *muwahaha surprise surprise*) bothered me with the rice idea, so I decided against ordering that garlic sensation *sob goodbye poop fairy*, and went with something that would lead to a cholesterol rush in my body (not like I seriously need it, what with all the meat I’ve been eating the last few days! It’s either steak OR the Super Yummy Yummy Sashimi set for 2 at my fave, Kuretake!).

My breakfast (think of me saying that out loud flatly, with no excitement): 2 scrambled eggs, with a side of grilled tomato (I swear I did not order the hash brown). I downed it all with a nice cup of Earl Grey.

It was a 70% fulfilling meal, but as if I didn’t have enough, I ended up snatching my companion’s English banger sausage (ok why do they call them bangers???! It sound sooo… lewd.. Or maybe it’s cause I just have a dirty mind that’s why it sounds lewd haha). That sausage made up for the garlic rice deprivation, which mind you, is not easy to take especially if the very smell of it permeated my nostrils (from the other table! Pinoy breakfast!!! *SOB*).

Ugh, ok, confession now: there’s a bag of chips beside my laptop. I’m soooo tempted to just tear it open and wolf it all down. Tsk. Self control, self control. If my self control for food is the same as my self-control for anger and well, tact, then I’m in deeeep doodoo! The diet comes crashing down… on my hips hehe. (Moving the Pringles can away from my desk).

Ooooh, if you’re wondering why I’m still up at this time of the night (lately I’d be knocked out already even before 12!), it’s cause I am still psyched about my meeting today. I promise if the plan materializes, you’ll all hear about it. Because if it all works out, this baghag’s finally gonna be able to reeeeelaxxxxx *wolfwhistles and wiggle wiggles*. So, keep those fingers crossed that it’s all good in the end! *positive, positive*

Anywayyyy, it’s officially February! Two main events coming up soon! Chinese New Year, which is next week, and Valentines’ Day (scrooges out there, this is the perfect day to prove to your loved ones that you actually have a heart *hahaha*. Don’t be a vrooge!!).

Marc Jacobs Serafima bag on bag. In Red, natch! This is one of those either-you-love-it-or-hate-it bags. For one, it immediately reminded me of the LV tribute patchwork bag. But on another note, this is done in one color and seems less hideous as arm art. But then those red sequins bother me a bit much (froggies are cute though… hehe). Too Chinatown perhaps (nothing wrong with the “staple of most Chinatown bag stores” look but peeps, THIS Chinatown bling bag is expensivo at over 2Gs!) There is also that attempt to put some decorative twistlock on the frame of the bag. What this does to the bag itself is something of a quagmire– perhaps someone who’s personally test driven this bag can comment on it. It’s annoyingly attractive somehow though, especially now that ’tis the season to “come out” in red!! (Ok, take off that sequins bag and I’m fine). Priced at US$2,250 at bergdorfgoodman.com

And special mention: Louis Vuitton will have a special event on the 6th of February to launch the purple epi and celebrate Chinese New Year as well (meaning, a possible excuse to get new bags!!). The question shall remain a question– will thebaghag break that one month purchase ban???? 🙂 *Find out next week! Psst, AnnaS aren’t you sooo dying for me to break that ban so you can have your coffee and drink it too… hahaha we’ll see!!* Who knows, maybe I don’t have to buy anything for me this Valentines’ Day 😀 Maybe this is the year that someone decides to sponsor me *muwahahaha*

Anyhoo, I look forward to Chinese New Year more than Valentines’ this year because it signals the end of year 2007– it’s officially over!! *YAY!!!!* Time for new developments and commitments to ourselves to become better and stronger, healthier physically, mentally, and emotionally, and learn from our mistakes. DB had said to me last week when I had the epiphany which led to that self-reflection post (and ultimately my decision to seriously work on my finances.. like to save, save, save, and not be a chronic swiper *hehe*), “if you didn’t do your due diligence last year, make sure you do it this year”. I guess this also means that I should balance my checkbook first before spending and basically be more financially responsible. *BAWL no more buy-now-pay-later plan?!* (Told you I was suffering because of Grapes haha) Sigh… After all, money doesn’t grow on trees (at least not in my backyard hahaha).

And with this coming New Year is the hope that the year of the rat can bring me and all of you the ffg:– luck (win the lottery haha), prosperity (so we can afford more bags without actually going broke this time), stronger ties and relationships (especially with family!), sincerity, honesty, equality, and love (what brings peace to wo/men’s hearts). Break free from the shackles of negativity and simply be Grateful. Grateful for having been given the chance at life (while other struggle so much just to survive), or for others, a second chance at love, relationship, career, and business. Learn how to be more forgiving and stop the harping and comparing (because you’ll never ever be satisfied. Grass greener on the other side. Remember?) *Yak yak yak… I better practice what I preach!* In with the positive, out with the negative! *cha ching cha ching!!!* Pohhhh-siii-tiiiive!!

Sooo, pssst, start planning your new wardrobe for Chinese New Year! Be it a new bag *lucky you!*, new dress, or even better, new bling! Waaaaaaah baghags, it’s seriously lucky to wear something new!! Cheers to a new month once more 😉 *10+ more months before Christmas? hehehe*

Ni ni for now! Sleepy already 🙂
