Blogging via iPhone… INQUIRER at the CCP

Hi peeps!

Just came back from the Inquirer-Samsung event at the CCP where the collections of Rajo Laurel, Rhett Eala, and Randy Ortiz were presented.

Sorry I don’t have photos as I actually got to the event real late and decided against bringing my camera. I wish I did though! 🙁

Rajo Laurel never ceases to amaze me. His clothes were very Grecian, with fluid drapes that
flatter. Brings to mind vintage Madame Gres, only richer, with the most amazing details in the
right places. The colors were very neutral and powdery (as I recall) and just worked so well together
as a whole.

Rhett Eala is so back. I first saw a few of his dresses on his facebook account and remember
marvelling at his fine “pleatwork”. I am in love with the collection. It’s so old world glamour. One of the
gowns reminded me of the work of Jean Desses. I want his dresses! But first, I need to work on
that body of mine ;(

Randy Ortiz’s collection remains feminine, with layers and roses which seem to be a nod to Valentino
and Chanel. I can appreciate the more “shapeless” dresses as they would seem to work best on my body *hehe*. it’s another
interesting collection.

I had a great time listening to the Philharmonic orchestra too, despite
the heat (the main lobby was jam-packed!). It was another very
successful event of Inquirer Lifestyle.

Congratulations to all the people behind Inquirer Lifestyle!

Jolly good show!!
