Bagging Some “Steals” Online

Calling all Stateside Baghags: The sale at Bergdorf Goodman (and the other retail giants, actually) isn’t over yet! This is probably one of the best times to whip out your credit card and reward yourself with something nice (and not as pricey!).

Marc by Marc Jacobs Little Miss Marc tote. I know, this has been blogged to death, but Little Miss Marc is obviously not yet past her prime 🙂 It’s always nice to own something “fun” and this has to be one of those “fun” bags to own. Priced now at US$90.

And let’s get us this little Miss Marc pouch for US$55 😀 Sometimes, a little matchy- matchy doesn’t hurt 😉

Marc Jacobs Susan Bag. Is it the color again that drew me in? The bag style itself is nice. I’m frankly tired of carrying heavy bags, and this bag has that “venetia” classic style incorporated into it– those 2 pockets are worth lots in my opinion. You can never have enough exterior pockets on a bag. Reduced to US$ 570 from $850.

Speaking of pockets, the Tod’s Pashmy bag is a winner in this category. And what a great price for this bag now with this sale. I can’t get enough of exterior pockets and any bag with pockets on the outside earns them brownie points in my book. Plus another good thing about this bag? It is light! Now priced at just US$ 633 from $945!

On a related note, I will be checking out the new Tod’s bag collection tomorrow and will give a review of what I liked/ disliked. I’ve honestly been a big fan of Tod’s driving loafers, but rarely do I take a second look at Tod’s bags– except for the more recent collection which incorporated exterior pockets (lots of them hehe).

I can’t wait to see what bags SSI brought in for Tod’s this time. *Remind me to leave my wallet at home hahaha… Tomorrow should be a work- related “visit” to Tod’s. Besides, this baghag’s on a serious purchase ban right now– just to see how much I can actually “save” from not buying anything hahaha… tsk*

Now, let me insert a quick food post now because it’s too good not to mention. Over the Father’s Day weekend, my family and I trooped over to Kuretake at Rockwell to celebrate. Quite frankly, I opted to go to Tsumura *since I wasn’t the one paying hahahaha* but since I had to be at Rockwell that day, Kuretake was the only alternative if you want to have the freshest sashimi and sushi in Manila (next to Tsumura).

If you’re a sashimi fan, go for the very fresh Aji Tatakiserved with finely minced ginger, chives, and a lone shiso leaf (I love shiso leaf– this is sooo good too with hirame sashimi).

Kuretake is also one of the best places to have Negitoro don (fatty tuna sashimi over rice) *They don’t have Negitoro all the time too, so while they do have it, order it!*

Thinly sliced beef rolls
And DH’s favorite, Kuretake’s bento box set Well worth its price!

For reservations at Kuretake, you can call 898-0509.

P.S. Speaking of Rockwell, just wanted you peeps to know that ZARA will be on sale from today (June 25) til the weekend. ACCESSORY LAB will also have a sale on selected merchandise (10% off!) so, do make the effort to pass by (after you’ve sifted through the clothes at Zara hahaha)

  1. Looking at the picture of the Aji tataki makes me hungry now. It looks delicious.

    Best wishes,

  2. any chance LV bags will also be going on sale? 🙂 heard some rumors that a price decrease is forthcoming for the damier speedy and totally damier azur in the US.

  3. Tods driving loafers really are gorgeous and comfy. And they come in the cutest colours. But I couldn’t take the price. So what does a cheapskate do? Go high street! I got a similar looking pair from zara instead. Cheapangga wehehehe

  4. Hi Mrs. T,

I dropped by your shop today with my friend (we’re both on holiday in Manila from Jakarta). I’ve been reading your blog since the beginning (I asked your advice on what LV bag I could use to school. Ended up buying a Beaubourg almost 3 years later. That’s how long it took me!) Anyway it was surreal to visit your shop! I was actually looking for a Bal Work bag in regular hardware but ended up buying a citrine bracelet from the lovely Luzel. Anyway hope to bump into you one day! 🙂
