Bag Review: Olympia Le Tan’s Book Clutch

I never thought I’d actually say this now because I used to have this complete disregard for very expensive clutches thinking they aren’t really “investment” pieces since you don’t get so much use out of it as compared to bigger bags– totes and satchels and the like. But right now, clutches just seem way chicer than big totes (unless it is realllly necessary that you carry a big bag), so I feel that it’s becoming more justified to spend a little more on a nice clutch.

The Olympia Le Tan iconBook Clutch– in this case, “The Innocents of Paris”, is a pretty little one but I still have objections to its price.

olympia-parisThis cheeky clutch doesn’t store much (as it shouldn’t for a clutch or you might as well carry a tote) so expect to carry some cash, cards, a compact powder, and your favorite lipstick. If you’re lucky  to have a small phone then looks like you’re also good to bring it. I think what makes the bag real cool is if you’ve actually read the book and that it’s your favorite literary piece.

On the whole however, you still won’t see me paying that amount for this clutch, pretty as it may be. True, maybe I don’t get why it’s that expensive (aside from the fact that yes, it is hand-sewn). But I also don’t think I’d spend on this unless I have unlimited access to the financial abyss of the Kardashians  😉
