Bag Review: Net-a-porter.com

Pfffft, so I got my DM a Nokia phone last December (which she refused to let me pay for… umm it was supposed to be a gift for her too– coz that’s the only thing she doesn’t like buying for herself). Well it went dead on Mommy last week. And today I got the chance to sit and wait for my turn at the Nokia service center. Hmmm.. well there were LOTS of people there.. Does that mean Nokia makes crappy phones? *Snort, yeah, and I STILL keep on sticking to Nokia haha*. (Don’t ask me to read those techie forums… I know what they say about Nokia haha). Yeah well, you know technology. Can’t beat em! So anyway I just sat there til it was my turn. Crap I waited a good hour for my turn!! *Screams!!!* I couldn’t wait to get back to Tresorie. At least I can somehow surf if I do get bored. (Funny, it’s hard for me to sit and surf at the shop– it actually took me 5 hours to blog yesterday hahaha and it was a short post!) Anyway, it only took me all of 4 minutes for the Nokia person to tell me they “probably” need to tighten something inside the phone (eh???) and that I should come back after 4 hours for it. Errr.. ok. I’m not about to be fooled. So I just decided to head back to the shop to join the girls 🙂 Nokia will have to wait this time (not like they give two cents. Who the hell am I to them anyway hahaha).

I sure am glad I did go back. Because not only did I get to discover a black jacket that Tinsley has *which I did NOT see in the rack*, I got to try it on as well. And I fell in love with it! Here it is, all of her for Php 2,400. Oh don’t mind the printed shirt underneath it– that’s what I wore today (with black leggings… channeling 80s Madonna hahaha) *shorts also belong to Tinsley*. I’m actually considered a pretty sloppy dresser *or ok let’s stop the pretending, I’m what you’d call in Tagalog, “baduy“*, but dang, the jacket is soooo doing it for me!!) Duh, and there I was spending my money on other jackets that cost over 4K. I must be blind. *my purse ban is still in effect… I can’t wait for the silver croisiere… but at least thank goodness I can buy clothes hahaha– I never spend on clothes… except for that one time with that Balenciaga dress muwahaha (shoot I better wear that dress again soon or it’s not worth my money haha Mrs.T= cheapskate)!!* Here’s another teaser from Tinsley (we used D! Luxe “baby pair” brooches on the back for that full effect). Pssst by the way, I “photoshopped” my back coz I’ve got some “battlescars” from my mole operations :D. It’s kinda unsightly and I don’t want you hags to be puking on your keyboards *muwahaha*. I reminded EAI and DCV that I will be wearing my girdle next time they make me try clothes on *snort* so they’ll fit me better haha. So, I’ve sorta become the unofficial model *puke! riiiiight, me? model? Ptoooey!!* of Tinsley, but I won’t abuse the privilege by asking for free clothes *muwahaha OUCH*. (Freeloading baghag gets hurt with that last remark 😉

Anyway I am so glad that I was in the store today, because the Asian Telenovela Diva, Faith Cuneta, came by to say hello 🙂 I have never met Faith in person, but of course have heard only the best about her. I hardly watch Telenovelas, but I know so many of my friends who do *haha it’s their guilty pleasure* and they all know Faith’s songs! And here was this pretty lady who came in with her agent, Jacob. For a real good songbird, she was really super nice– genuine 100% nice! (None of that “diva” attitude that a lot of others *who aren’t even divas* have) . See this is what I admire about overachievers who still maintain that humility factor. Girl, if you are reading my blog, you “rock” !! 🙂 We are totally honored to have you come see us! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! For those who haven’t been in touch with the local scene, Faith Cuneta fairly recently launched her album, “Faith Begins, The Live Album“. Go get yourself a copy now 🙂

Ok now for my regular bag review 🙂 Photo credits go out to Net-a-porter.com

Miu Miu Drawstring Pocket bag. Miu Miu really just keeps getting better and better. In the baghag’s book, Miu Miu emerges as this season’s winner. Most of the bags in this collection are gorgeous and definitely worth carrying. I remember vaguely a few seasons ago, how having exterior pockets in a bag “did” it for me, but now, even this baghag has become so jaded. Not all bags with exterior pockets are done as tastefully as this baby. Which is why this is another bag that gets my thumbs up. Available at net-a-porter.com for £536.17

Luella Cracked leather bag. Wow, it HAS been awhile since Luella came up with a design worth looking at. After the Gisele bag (one of the “It” bags of a few years ago), there really wasn’t a bag that made it to that “most desirable bag” list. Well there’s a bit of a “silver” lining here *err no pun intended*, after a semi-long hiatus. This platinum cracked leather bag ain’t half bad. And I sure hope it ain’t heavy either. Priced at £438.80 , I think I can carry this bag without much complaint. After all, I am so into metallics now 😀

Corto Moltedo Priscilla Luxor Bag. Oh.Mah.Gawd. Can someone tell me WHAT this bag is trying to be? Is this style something like Gucci meets Coach meets Balenciaga? Whatever it is, this is just too much of a mutant to be liked. Granted, there are some bags that work well when morphed with another designer’s design. But this certainly is not one of them. I hate the chunkiness of the bag. And you certainly won’t see this baghag wannabe pay £702.13 for it! (Yea well maybe I’ll change my mind when I see this bag… Too bad, I kinda liked the “blue jean” color too haha)

And of course can it get any worse? Corto Moltedo does a Bottega inspired bag in their own mutant design. Ok hags, this really takes the cake. BUGLY BAG OF THE WEEK!!! (At least the other monogram bag had a nice leather color hahaha).

Awrighty, this baghag’s gotta give out some Q time to DH. He’s beginning to complain that I hang out with my Mac more than with him 😉 *Okie okie, I’ll be a nice girl. Time to log out hags :)*

Nighty nighty! More cheese from this shopgirl tomorrow 🙂

P.S. Teps— I want to be as skinny as youuu…. And to our new friend Julienne from Toronto– ring me up before you head back and we can do tea! 😀

P.P.S. Mrs.T’s Jack Russell Terrier named “Elvis” *hehe after The King himself* turns 4 years old tomorrow, May 26 (technically he’s already 28 dogyears old). I miss this doggie of mine. Oh and here’s something you’ll find kinda funny. I nicknamed him “LV” hahaha. Anyway, “LV” is still living with my inlaws because the DKs are asthmatic– that, plus we don’t really know where he will stay in our place. He got accustomed to being an outdoor dog when we were still living with my inlaws 🙁 I just don’t know how he’ll react with the kiddies indoors if I do bring him here… 🙁 But he’s sooo terribly cute!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY ELVIS!! (psst, hags, look. Even Mrs.T’s dog refuses to show his face on the photo hahaha *wink I taught him that!!!*)
