Bag Review: Michael Kors Miranda Tote

Michael Kors has been hitting the right notes of late. While I confess that I was never a fan of the MK Hamilton tote which I’ve seen on the arms of many women (I find the bag too chunky and too birkin-wannabe with those belt enclosures), I profess that I am a fan of the Selma, and then of this

Miranda Leather Tote.

mkmiranda The issue here is how to secure the bag because while the ribbon is pretty to look at as part of the bag, I think it is quite impractical as a bag enclosure. I reckon the bag is best left “open” as a tote. It is really pretty and I think the structure works out nicely with the overall look of the bag.

  1. Seriously the Miranda totes are made in China. Everywhere I’ve looked online just says “Imported” and I know with MK that typically means either China or maybe Indonesia so i called Saks fifth, Neiman Markus, and Nordstroms. All 3 informed me it’s made in China. If its made in a place like Italy or Spain its Always specified on the website. For $1600 I’d have to be crazy or plain stupid to spend that much on a Chinese sweatshop bag just to carry MK’s name for his fame and break my wallet.
