Bag Review: Lancel L’Amante

I am continuing to discover such beautiful bags at Lancel. I can’t believe I didn’t even give the brand the attention it deserved a few years ago. It’s really all thanks to the Premier Flirt that got me looking into this French luxury goods company.

This time, it’s the L’Amante that I am so drawn to– especially because it was referenced from an earlier Lancel bag circa 1978.

Again, it’s all about historical references for me that make a bag all the more interesting. Character is not something you acquire overnight– it’s something that is earned through time. And this L’Amante bag has inherited just that– character.

What makes this bag extra special is that the 2nd flap of the bag actually detaches and works as a separate pouch! The straps can also be adjusted from short to long, making the bag extremely versatile.

The L’Amante comes in different colors– from the bolder pinks and flirty pastels, to easy neutrals and textured darks. This is definitely one bag I will not hesitate to buy. I had been torn with the black minaudiere from the Paris Line but I think this bag is the sure buy for me. Early Christmas gift to myself 🙂
