Bag Review: Goyard Voltaire

I’ve been meaning to blog about this particular bag but boo, I have been forgetting about it *oye I am not perfect hehehe*. But now that I remember, don’t go pelting me with tomatoes and rocks because it had taken me this long  (umm… 2 or 3 months late to be exact. *Smacks my mega wide forehead ;D*)
Ok so at least I actually did remember :). Goyard bag lovers, here’s another one for your collection!
This is the Goyard Voltaire. It’s a beautiful tote which is vertical- rectangular *or north- south* (rather than the more popular horizontal- rectangular or *east- west*) in shape. It’s a fairly structured “special knitted canvas” tote (inspired by the earlier graphic knitted canvas that was used back in the 60s- 70s) especially if this bag is new– nice leather trim on the sides and corners of the bag, as well as the handles. Not too heavy a bag– perfect for magazines and files, and it has cute little metal feet at the bottom should you decide to let the bag sit on the floor *umm suggestion, don’t do it– think of all the bacteria! Ewwww*.
An especially nice feature about the bag is the introduction of Goyard’s newest color (haha ok it’s not so much the bag itself, but really, the bag style itself is so timeless). So if you don’t fancy this particular style, you can also order this particular shade of gray in other bag styles, with the exception of Saint Louis and Sac Hardy totes (the more softer ones don’t work with this color and type of canvas).  May I suggest this color on a Saint Jeanne PM? I think it’d look understated and classy. Quite the type of bag I’d carry come Fall.
How do you feel about this bag and this new color? Do you like it, loathe it, or just don’t care for it?

P.S. Belated Happy Birthday to my beloved Daddy who would’ve turned 74 a few days ago if he were still alive today. We miss him so much 🙁
