As usual I always am curious to see how a brand can keep spinning off their successful bag styles. Givenchy is one of those brands. They have been enjoying successful sell- through rates with their Nightingale, Pandora, as well as Antigona that they have kept the style (though with per- season modifications) as part of their permanent bag line- up.
Last season, we all saw the Antigona undergo the star treatment which I had found rather hideous on the red and black combination as it had reminded me of the symbol of communism. This time though, there was a geometric play of triangles on the bag.
The 3D Geometric Givenchy Antigona
The triangles seem to have a more cohesive story with the signature Givenchy triangle as compared to the stars design in the past. These triangles are also featured on the back of the bag. They somehow give the Antigona a little more “edge” — I quite like it!
Oh yes and I do love this particular color!
