Amanpulo: The Million Dollar Villas

Sorry I didn’t get to blog earlier, my Globe broadband conked out on us last night for some unknown reason *tsk*, but today, I’m back online so no more reason to harp *woohoo* 🙂

Today, I show you the Million Dollar *cha ching cha ching* Villas of Amanpulo (which are just slightly over a year old). We were shown a 4- bedroom villa which can accommodate 8 guests (that doesn’t include the kids yet). This villa is already privately owned and is just maintained by Amanpulo (the resort and the owners share the profit from the bookings of this villa, as the owners allow the villa to be rented out by other guests while they’re not around)– the villa was purchased by a couple who paid somewhere between US$4-6 Million Dollars, which translates to around Php 188 – 282 Million  (that’s a HUGE house and lot in Forbes Park!!!).
Can you imagine paying this price for a vacation villa that you don’t permanently stay in (hence, vacation villa)??  As Robin Leach said, these are… “the lifestyles of the rich and famous” 🙂 You too, can pay for that lifestyle by renting this villa out *technically if you break it all down– free meals,  free massages, free yoga classes, free snorkeling, free kayaking, free sailing, world class amenities, impeccable service… you still pay a premium but it’s not as insanely expensive as I initially thought before I went to this island. Plus, your confidentiality and privacy are guaranteed *no  beach overcrowding and more importantly, no prying eyes!! So this is a beach that a lot of Hollywood celebrities enjoy, or so I heard from my friends (couldn’t confirm this with resort peeps– I think they must have been sworn to secrecy or something!!)*

The villa has a common living room area, which has these resort couches as well as a huge flat screen tv for your viewing pleasure

A nice dining room where you get your meals cooked by a private chef, and you also get served by your private butler!!

The bedroom overlooks the private infinity pool (and a large bathroom which also has a flat- screen tv by the bath tub!!)

Ahhhh your own private pool….

But why swim in the pool if you can walk in your own private path to the beach? 🙂

There may be times when this side of the beach gets a lot windier, so I guess that’s why there’s the pool 🙂  But when it’s not too windy, you can hang out here and read a good book if you’re not interested in taking a dip in the turquoise- blue waters!

You can always drive your own golf cart (provided by the resort for free) to the other side of the beach too where you will be greeted by this 🙂

*Hehehehe* Sorrrryyyy, I betray the bag- loving community when I say this, but I would never trade this vacation for a bag,  for a pair of shoes, or for jewelry!!!! *hahaha yeah yeah,  traitor!!*
Ahh…. Champagne wishes and Caviar Dreams in Paradise!!  🙂
P.S. To the very wonderful people of Amanpulo and CV Travel: THANK YOU VERY MUCH for introducing me to Paradise!! And let me end this post with a famous quote from General MacArthur  who said, “I shall return” 🙂

P.P.S. Sorry for some reason I can’t open my comments page to reply, so I have to answer here– @ RG: CV Travel contact is Claudette Vitug at (+63917) 536-8545. I think that’s the best way to reach her. Website is http://www.cvtravel.com.ph and office numbers are there. 🙂
