All About Personal Care

I am so delighted to have been invited to Unilever’s Personal Care (PC) Summit, held at the breathtaking El Nido resort in Pangulasian Island. It is really good to be back in beach paradise after a nasty bout of asthma the day before. Fresh air always helps heaps 🙂

I have been enlightened from yesterday’s and today’s events organized by Unilever. Short activities were designed to give us insights and a look into the different brands under the Unilever umbrella– from Dove to Rexona, TRESemmé to Closeup, Vaseline to Creamsilk, and Ponds (among the many other popular consumer brands).

Unilever products have been found in practically all households in the Philippines– and worldwide. My family and I have actually been users of Vaseline products (especially the petroleum jelly because some of my family members have skin problems and vaseline has been used as the moisture “sealant” or insulator) for as long as I can remember.

Very interesting fact: Robert Chesebrough invented this petroleum jelly concoction (which later became known as Vaseline) all the way back in 1872!!

Another product I use from Unilever is Closeup toothpaste. Because this is the only toothpaste that did not give me any chin acne!

Rexona had a super fun activity where I volunteered to go against Philippine football star Phil Younghusband in a 20 second jumping jack challenge. Hehehe.. and guess WHO won? 🙂 *I hope you said ME. Because I WON hahaha– perhaps that’s the only time I will win in anything against Phil*

The day went incredibly well. The weather was perfect (as it always is in Palawan). El Nido Resorts (Pangulasian) had excellent food as always, and we were very, very well taken cared of by Unilever.

Unilever definitely knows personal care! More on Unilever’s PC Summit tomorrow. We had quite a relaxing day today and I can’t wait to write about it and share it again with you all tomorrow 🙂
