A Lot of Kate Spade Fun!

The thing about quirky and fun bags is this– they can’t always be too big. I have always followed this as a fashion rule: bags should not engulf or overwhelm. They can enhance your look but you should not be swimming in the bag *unless you are off to the beach haha*.

I love Kate Spade bags. They really know how to turn on the FUN– in caps! Their latest collection centers around New York. And ahh, New York is love!

I think the cuteness factor has to stem from that little yellow taxicab clasp. I have not yet seen this bag up close but what I’d love to do is to check if my phone will fit into it.

And then there is “A Tale of 2 Cities” book clutch.

It reminds me of the more expensive frightfully expensive Olympia Le Tan Book Clutch

olympialetanbagok yes I get that Le Tan’s book clutch bags are embroidered and appliquéd by hand but I just can’t seem to justify paying over  £1,000 for one. Kate Spade’s book bag version is a clear winner (although I’m wondering how Le Tan feels about the Kate Spade book clutch– in the same way I wonder how Charlotte Olympia feels about the Kate Spade popcorn bag which Olympia also has)

Whatever the 2 designers feel about those similarly styled bags, I cannot deny that Kate Spade bags really bring on the fun factor– because fun has become a part of the brand’s DNA.
