In the last few days, being in the Philippines has been very exciting because everywhere I turned, every other person seemed to be preparing for the arrival of Pope Francis. The Philippines is a strongly Catholic country, and the Pope is seen as a beacon of hope. And everyone is actually in a celebratory mood 🙂
I am currently blogging from inside the walled city, Intramuros, inside the beautiful home of my friend Cathy.
This afternoon we had a bit of time to walk around the beautiful city that is “Old Manila”.
Together with my friends, we are pretty much “locked” inside the city because we are awaiting the Pope tomorrow morning as he will be saying mass at Manila Cathedral.
The beautiful view of Manila Cathedral from a distance at night. Breathtaking!
Tomorrow is really going to be a great day for Old Manila! And speaking of celebrations, I thought it was adorable that Charlotte Olympia has this Piñata Bag!
It has to be one of the most adorable bags I’ve seen as of yet this 2015!
The bag is very unique, as Charlotte Olympia has actually been known to create the cutest and kitschiest bags. This is definitely not a bag for everyday use as it looks too festive and does not seem to have enough room for daily essentials. But if you have spare change (say, in the upward amount of US $1,000), then I think it’d be real nice to have this bag in your collection as it is also a conversation piece 🙂
The Charlotte Olympia Piñata Bag is available for immediate purchase online at Net-A-Porter. Now, it’s time for me to go to sleep, as tomorrow is going to be a long day, and I can’t wait to hear mass– it’s still so surreal that we are here and will be seeing the Pope tomorrow in Manila 🙂
